Make Your Own 3D Printed Puzzles

Jigsaw puzzles have been around for hundreds of years. Around 1760, British cartographer John Spilsbury cut out the individual countries of a world map as an educational tool. Since then, puzzles have become more of a form of quiet entertainment enjoyed by people of all ages.

I thought it would be interesting to reinvent the classic jigsaw puzzle as a 3D model that uses form, rather than color, to paint it’s picture. Even cooler, I found an excellent online tool that allows you to make such a puzzle using accurate topographical data from anywhere in the world!
